Tribute: Bharatiya Janta Party, J&K State

While praying my heart felt tribute to Pt Tika Lal Taploo Advocate with heavy heart. I am compelled but to say “Late Tika Lal taploo” though my esteemed friends, valuable colleagues and patriot par excellence, worldly is no more among us, but it is my earnest and honest feeling that Tika Lal is present not only in this beautiful land of Rishis and Maharishis but I feel his presence just like a “Tikka” on y forehead. As that Tika of kesar or sindur gives me immense pleasure and inspiration the same is the position vis a vis Tika who had been brutally killed by the enemies of the country and thus made him a great martyr.

I know personally that late Tika Lal had been always a target of anti Indian, Pro-Pak elements and he himself was aware of all this but he never bothered, cared about all these nefarious designs of such forces. He had the will and courage not only to face personally but even collectively. He challenged the anti national, Pro-Pak elements no matter of which organization they belonged to.

I pray to his Almighty that Pt Tika Lal Taploo’s shall inspire this confidence not only in Migrants but in the whole country, so that Nandan Wan of bharat could physically be made what it was. I think this will be the true and religious tribute to my friend, colleague and true leader of Nationalistic forces in valley.

Sh Tika Lal Taploo, Advocate, Vice President of State BJP was assassinated in cold blood on 14th Sept 1989 by the Muslim terrorists. He was one of the few in Kashmir Valley with a sound faith in total accession of Kashmir with rest of India and would not waver whether he was in Shrinagar, Jammu or Delhi.

He was active in Parja Parishad movement in Jammu in 1953. Also he worked shoulder to shoulder with great leaders like Pt Prem Nath Dogra, Sh Dev Parshad Gosh, Sh Balraj Madhoke, Sh Atal Bihari Bajpai, Shri LK Advani in earst while Jan Sangh in Kashmir and outside it and criticized the wrong policies of Congress and NC.

He was fireless worker and his political acumen and fearlessness inspire us every day.

We salute this great Martyr. I also felicitate “Martand Newsletter” for issuing a special “Shirdanjali Number”
